At this time (in Year 2008), approximately 1.35% of the tax assessment property value. Many schools in this area are exemplary status (over 90% passing in each TAKS subject). Here in Frisco, TX, the elementary grades are from Kindergarten through 5th grade, middle school from 6th - 8th grades and high school from 9th - 12th grades. The cut-off age for children beginning Kindergarten is 5 years old born before September 1 of the school year and the Kindergarten program at Frisco ISD is a full-day from 8:00am to 3:00pm. Frisco ISD also provides after-school programs for its elementary school students. A variety of programs are offered as extra-curricular and extra-educational resources for our children. Also, Frisco ISD has been known for their special education and many families throughout the country has made the decision to relocate to Frisco because of such high quality public education system. Bus routes are provided to school children in elementary, middle and high school who lives two miles or more from their schools.
